About Us
Toowoomba Salt Cave, situated at the Red Edge Shopping Centre 192 James Street, was established in 2011, and has been managed by Sue and Toby Thrupp since November 2015. Sue has a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing), a Diploma of Remedial Massage, and many years health care experience. Toby also has a Diploma of Remedial Massage and a Certificate III in Business. He has a keen interest in health and fitness and together we will make your Salt Cave experience relaxing and therapeutic.
Salt Therapy is a natural treatment suitable for all ages. During a salt therapy session, dry salt aerosol is dispersed in high concentration throughout the room. Inhalation of the dry salt aerosol assists with the management of respiratory conditions such as: asthma, sinusitis, bronchitis, emphysema, colds & flu, respiratory allergies, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, acute and chronic coughs, ear infection, tonsillitis, rhinitis, and hay fever. Salt Therapy also assists in the management of skin conditions such as: eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and acne. Some noted benefits as reported by our customers are: decreased inflammation, relief from respiratory congestion, management of chronic and irritating coughs, decreased shortness of breath, improve immune system, relief from chronic stress and fatigue, tranquil sleep and improved general health and wellbeing.

Massage and Couples Massage
Experience a deeply relaxing massage using non-allergenic oil in the unique and tranquil setting of the salt room. This therapeutic massage is designed to relieve stress, increase circulation, ease muscle soreness and tension, leaving you in a state of pure relaxation. The benefits of massage go hand in hand with the benefits of salt therapy making them the perfect combination. Massage increases the oxygen flow in the blood and releases toxins from the muscles, it also increases circulation without increasing the load on the heart.
We offer 1 hour remedial massages that are eligible for private health fund rebates. We offer 1 hour full body relaxation massages for single and couples bookings. Full body 1 hour relaxation massages and remedial massages are $95 per person. Couples massages are $190. Bookings are required.
Hypno-Meditation
Hypno-Meditation is a combination of hypnosis and meditation, promoting a general feeling of wellness. The Meditation assists in eliminating conscious thoughts in order to reach a state of stillness and inner peace, freeing your mind from negative thoughts. The Hypnosis involves a natural ability to reach a deep state of relaxation. Following a Hypno-Meditation session in the Salt Cave, you will feel less stressed and more energised, with positive suggestions for the sub-conscious mind to help change any negative programming.
Next Hypno-Meditation is on May 11 and the theme is Positive Thoughts.
Group Spa Days
In addition to our regular therapy packages, we are also able to accommodate custom spa days for larger groups.

Hen's parties, birthdays, bridal showers or just a relaxing catch up with a group of friends. We are able to create a session for you combining our various services, including: Head & shoulder & foot massage, full body massage, hypno-meditation and Salt therapy.
